Quick answer
The Ten Gods (十神) aren't deities. They're names for how every other element in your chart relates to your Day Master. They turn a chart of elements into real life: money, career, friends, learning and self-expression.
The five pairs
| Relationship | Gods | Life themes |
|---|---|---|
| Same element | Friend, Rob Wealth | Peers, competition, confidence |
| Element you produce | Eating God, Hurting Officer | Creativity, expression, skills |
| Element you control | Direct Wealth, Indirect Wealth | Money, resources, effort |
| Element that controls you | Direct Officer, Seven Killings | Career, authority, discipline |
| Element that produces you | Direct Resource, Indirect Resource | Support, learning, intuition |
Each pair splits by whether the polarity matches yours (Yin or Yang).
How they're used
A chart full of Output stars may suit creative work. Strong Officer stars may suit structured careers. Which gods are favourable depends on your chart's strength.
